Gearbox Type: 9G-TRONIC Automatic
Every E-Class comes standard with the 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission. This gearbox has been refined for the 2026 model year to be lighter and more responsive. It works in tandem with the hybrid system to allow for "sailing" (engine-off coasting) at highway speeds, significantly improving real-world fuel economy.
