Gearbox Type: Single Speed Reduction Gear
The Nexon EV utilizes a seamless Single Speed Transmission. The 2026 model features a "Shift-by-Wire" rotary dial with an integrated display. Additionally, it features steering-mounted paddle shifters, but instead of gears, these control the 4 levels of Regenerative Braking (Level 0 to Level 3/i-Pedal).
Drive Type: Front Wheel Drive (FWD)
The drivetrain is a front-wheel-drive configuration, which maximizes energy efficiency and interior cabin space. The system includes an Electronic Parking Brake with Auto-Hold, making it exceptionally easy to drive in stop-and-go urban traffic.
