Despite the heavy battery pack, the Nexon EV maintains a class-leading unladen ground clearance of 190 mm (205 mm in the Standard Range variant). The underbody is protected by a high-strength steel plate to shield the IP67-rated battery from debris and water wading up to 300 mm.
