Safety and Security of MG Astor in Nepal

Safety is a cornerstone for the Astor, offering dual front airbags as standard, while the top-tier Savvy and Sharp variants are equipped with 6 airbags (Front, Side, and Curtain) for 360-degree occupant protection.

Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) are standard across the range. These systems work in tandem to prevent skidding and maintain directional control during emergency maneuvers.

Hill Start Assist prevents the car from rolling back on inclines for 3 seconds, giving the driver time to switch from brake to accelerator. ISOFIX mounts are standard, ensuring the safest possible attachment for child seats.

While the Astor is awaiting a formal Bharat NCAP score, its global counterpart (MG ZS) has secured a 5-star ASEAN NCAP rating. The Astor uses the same high-tensile steel cage, suggesting a very high level of structural integrity.
