Performance and Engine of Triumph Scrambler 400 X in Nepal

Engine Displacement: 398.15 cc

The Scrambler 400 X uses the same "TR-Series" liquid-cooled, DOHC engine as the Speed 400. However, the Scrambler features a different intake and exhaust note and a slightly revised sprocket setup to provide more "snap" at lower speeds, making it easier to crawl through rocky paths or heavy traffic.

Max Power & Torque: 40 PS & 37.5 Nm

It produces 40PS at 8000 rpm and 37.5Nm at 6500rpm. The engine is exceptionally tractable; you can hold high gears at low speeds without the engine "knocking," which is a massive benefit when riding through the winding hills of the Bagmati province.

Top Speed & Mileage: 160 km/h | 28 kmpl

Due to its taller stance and higher wind resistance, the top speed is slightly lower than the Speed 400 at 160 km/h. Expect a real-world mileage of around 28 kmpl, which is very efficient for a bike that can outperform most 400cc machines.
