Performance & Engine of Ferrari Portofino in India

Engine Displacement: 3,855 cc

The Portofino M features the award-winning 3.9-litre 90° V8 twin-turbocharged engine. This power unit belongs to the family that won "International Engine of the Year" for four consecutive years. For the Indian market, Ferrari has incorporated a Gasoline Particulate Filter (GPF) to comply with BS6 (Euro 6D) emission norms while simultaneously redesigning the cam profiles to increase valve lift and optimize combustion chamber pressure.

Max Power: 612 hp @ 7,500 rpm

The "M" suffix denotes a power increase of 20 hp over the original Portofino, bringing the total to 612 hp (620 cv). This allows the 2+ spider to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.45 seconds. The engine utilizes Variable Boost Management, which adjusts torque delivery between 3rd and 8th gear to ensure a continuous, linear acceleration curve that feels more like a naturally aspirated engine.

Max Torque: 760 Nm @ 3,000 – 5,750 rpm

Peak torque remains at 760 Nm, providing immense pulling power across the mid-range. This high torque availability makes the Portofino M exceptionally easy to drive in stop-and-go traffic in cities like Mumbai or Bangalore, while still offering explosive performance on the open highway.
