Gearbox and Drive Type: 9-Speed Automatic / Permanent AWD
The G-Class uses the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G-TRONIC (9-speed) transmission. It features permanent all-wheel drive with a 40:60 torque split. The hallmark of the G-Wagon is its three 100% lockable differentials (Center, Rear, Front) and a dedicated low-range transfer case for extreme off-roading.
