Gearbox Type: 10-Speed EDU (Electric Drive Unit)
The MG HS PHEV uses a unique 10-speed Electronic Drive Unit. This consists of a 6-speed transmission for the petrol engine and a 4-speed transmission for the electric motor. This complex setup ensures that both power sources are always in their most efficient gear range, providing a smooth, "shift-less" feel.
