All 2026 GLS models come standard with the 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission. This gearbox is paired with the 4MATIC fully variable all-wheel-drive system, which can send up to 100% of the power to either the front or rear axle depending on the driving mode and traction conditions.
