The NX employs an Electronically Controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (E-CVT). Unlike traditional belt-driven CVTs, this system uses a planetary gear set to manage power from the engine and motors, providing a smooth and shift-shock-free experience.
Drive Type: Electronic On-Demand AWD (AWD-e)
The NX 350h features an "AWD-e" system, which uses an independent electric motor at the rear axle to provide traction when needed. There is no heavy mechanical driveshaft running to the back, which saves weight and improves fuel economy while still offering confidence on slippery surfaces.
