The Alektra Metro is currently the most affordable four-wheeled electric vehicle in Pakistan, specifically designed to provide a budget-friendly alternative to petrol-driven motorcycles and aging hatchbacks. Launched in late 2025 by Alektra Electric, the Metro is a "Mini EV" or quadricycle aimed at short-distance urban commuting. Its compact dimensions—just 2.45 meters long for the 2-door version—make it exceptionally easy to park and navigate through the tightest alleys of Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi.
Despite its entry-level positioning, the Metro features a modern, boxy aesthetic with stylish LED lighting and optional solar panels on the roof for supplemental charging. It represents the "ultra-micro" segment of the 2026 Pakistani auto market, where the priority is zero-emission travel and minimal running costs. For many families, it serves as an ideal second car for school runs or grocery trips, offering full weather protection (AC/Heater) that a bike cannot provide.
