Drive Type: FWD (Front-Wheel Drive)
All ICE variants of the Tata Nexon are Front-Wheel Drive (FWD). The power is sent to the front wheels via equal-length drive shafts to minimize torque steer during hard acceleration.
Clutch type: Single Plate Dry / Wet Multi-Plate (DCA)
Manual and AMT variants use a conventional single-plate dry friction clutch. The 7-speed DCA features a dual-clutch "Wet" system, which uses oil for cooling, making it much more durable in heavy stop-and-go Indian traffic.
