The front utilizes a MacPherson Strut with coil springs, while the rear features a Torsion Beam with coil springs. This setup is tuned for city comfort, absorbing small bumps and undulations well. The "Isolated Trailing Link" design at the rear helps in maintaining stability over uneven surfaces.

The Wagon R uses Ventilated Disc brakes at the front for effective heat dissipation and consistent stopping power. The rear uses traditional Drum brakes, which are sufficient for a vehicle of this weight and keep maintenance costs low for the owner.

Higher variants (ZXi+) come equipped with 14-inch Alloy wheels wrapped in 165/70 R14 radial tubeless tires. Base variants use 155/80 R13 steel rims. The 14-inch setup provides better cornering stability and fills the wheel arches more aesthetically.
