Front/Rear Suspension: FOX 2.5" Live Valve Racing Shox
The heart of the Raptor's capability is its FOX 2.5-inch Live Valve internal bypass shocks. These shocks are electronically controlled and can adjust their damping rates up to 500 times per second. This allows the truck to be soft and plush on the road but instantly stiffen up to prevent "bottoming out" when landing a jump.
Front/Rear Brake Type: 4-Wheel Ventilated Discs
Stopping power is provided by large ventilated disc brakes on all four corners. Unlike standard trucks that often use drums in the rear, the Raptor's 4-wheel disc setup provides consistent performance and heat dissipation, which is critical when coming down from high speeds in desert environments.
Tyre Size/Wheel Type: 285/70 R17 / 17" Alloy
The Raptor comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires (size 285/70 R17). These 33-inch tires are world-renowned for their puncture resistance and off-road grip. The wheels are also available with beadlock-capable rings for those who want to run extremely low tire pressures for sand driving.
