All models utilize a smooth-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission. The P550e integrates the electric motor within the transmission to allow for seamless transitions between EV and Hybrid modes. It also includes a twin-speed transfer box for high and low-range gearing.
Drive Type: Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (iAWD)
The iAWD system works with Terrain Response 2 to provide optimal traction. The 2026 model includes "All-Wheel Steering" on higher trims, significantly improving agility at high speeds and reducing the turning circle for easier urban maneuvering.
