The P270e utilizes a smooth 8-speed automatic gearbox, whereas the standard 2.0L petrol engines are paired with a ZF 9-speed automatic transmission. Both systems are designed to maximize fuel efficiency while providing the low-end torque control required for off-road excursions.
Drive Type: All-Wheel Drive (AWD) with Driveline Disconnect
The Discovery Sport features Intelligent AWD as standard. On tarmac, the system can disconnect the rear drive to reduce friction and improve fuel economy. It also includes Terrain Response 2, which automatically adjusts engine, gearbox, and chassis settings based on the surface (Mud, Sand, Snow).
