Safety and Security of Mahindra XUV 300 in Nepal

Airbag Count: Up to 7 Airbags

At launch, the XUV300 set a benchmark by offering 7 airbags (including a driver knee airbag) in the top-spec W8(O) variant. Lower variants typically come with 2 airbags as standard.

ABS with EBD: Standard

Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) are standard across all variants, ensuring the vehicle remains steerable during panic braking situations.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC): Available

ESC with Roll-over Mitigation is available in higher trims. This system monitors the vehicle's trajectory and applies individual brakes to prevent skidding or flipping during sharp maneuvers.

Hill Start Assist: Yes

The Hill Start Assist feature holds the car for approximately 2 seconds on an incline, preventing it from rolling backward while the driver switches from the brake to the accelerator.

ISOFIX: Standard

Child seat anchor points (ISOFIX) are provided as standard, allowing for the secure installation of international-standard child seats in the rear row.

NCAP Safety Rating: 5 Stars (Global NCAP)

The XUV300 was the first Indian car to achieve a "Safer Choice" award from Global NCAP. It scored a perfect 5 stars for adult occupant protection and a high 4 stars for child occupant protection.
