Gearbox Type: 5-Speed Manual
The N8 variant comes exclusively with a 5-speed manual transmission. The gear ratios are optimized for short city bursts and heavy-duty hauling. It does not currently offer an automatic or AMT option.
Drive Type: RWD (Rear Wheel Drive)
Unlike most modern compact SUVs that are front-wheel drive, the Bolero Neo N8 uses a Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) setup. This provides superior traction when climbing hills and better weight distribution when the rear jump seats are occupied.
Clutch Type: Single Plate Dry Clutch
The transmission is paired with a conventional single-plate dry clutch. It is designed for durability and ease of maintenance, capable of handling the high torque loads characteristic of Mahindra's diesel engines.
