Gearbox type: Single-speed Automatic
The Jaecoo J6 uses a high-efficiency single-speed reduction gear transmission. Unlike multi-speed traditional gearboxes, this setup provides seamless, uninterrupted power without any "shift shock," ensuring a smooth driving experience in both urban and off-road settings.
Drive Type: AWD (All-Wheel Drive)
The J6 features an intelligent 4WD system (in AWD models) that can toggle between 6 different driving modes: Eco, Normal, Sport, Sand, Mud, and Snow. This system monitors wheel slip in real-time and adjusts torque to the wheel with the most grip.
Clutch type: Direct Drive (No Clutch)
Because the electric motor is directly coupled to the reduction gear, there is no physical clutch plate or torque converter. This reduces maintenance requirements significantly and eliminates common failure points found in manual or automatic ICE vehicles.
