The latest MU-X models come standard with 8 airbags, including a segment-first front center airbag designed to prevent occupants from colliding with each other during a side-impact event.
ABS with EBD: Equipped
The vehicle features a 4-channel, 4-sensor Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) paired with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). This ensures maximum braking pressure is applied to the wheels with the most grip during emergency stops.
Electronic Stability Control (ESC): Equipped
Isuzu’s ESC system continuously monitors steering input and vehicle direction. If it detects a skid or loss of traction, it automatically applies brakes to individual wheels and reduces engine power to help the driver maintain control.
Hill Start Assist (HSA): Equipped
HSA prevents the vehicle from rolling backward when starting on an incline. It maintains brake pressure for approximately two seconds after the driver releases the brake pedal, allowing time to move the foot to the accelerator.
ISOFIX: Equipped
The second row features two ISOFIX child seat anchor points and three top-tether points, ensuring the safest possible mounting for child restraints.
NCAP Safety Rating: 5-Star (ANCAP/ASEAN NCAP)
The MU-X has achieved a full 5-star safety rating from both ANCAP and ASEAN NCAP. This is attributed to its high-tensile steel construction and the comprehensive IDAS (Intelligent Driver Assistance System) suite.
