Front/Rear Suspension: Double Wishbone / Leaf Spring
The front features an independent double-wishbone setup for car-like handling. The rear uses heavy-duty overslung semi-elliptic leaf springs. For 2025/26, the leaf spring design has been revised to provide a more compliant ride when the tray is empty.
Front/Rear Brake Type: Disc / Drum
The D-Max utilizes 320 mm ventilated discs at the front with twin-piston calipers. While it retains drums at the rear for most trims (due to their superior handbrake holding on inclines), they are sized at a massive 295 mm to ensure heavy-duty performance.
Tyre Size/Wheel Type: 265/60 R18 Alloy
Top trims feature 18-inch matte dark grey alloy wheels. The 265/60 R18 tires provide a good balance of highway comfort and off-road grip. Base work-truck trims use 17-inch steel wheels for maximum durability.
