Gearbox: Single-Speed Automatic
The iX1 uses a high-efficiency single-speed fixed ratio transmission. This eliminates the need for gear shifts, providing a seamless and linear surge of power. It includes a "B" mode on the gear selector for high-intensity regenerative braking, allowing for "one-pedal" driving.
Drive Type: xDrive (All-Wheel Drive)
The "xDrive" system in the iX1 is fully electric, with one motor driving the front wheels and another driving the rear. This allows for millisecond-precise torque vectoring, improving cornering stability and performance in slippery conditions.
