Rear Brakes: Drum Brakes
A notable technical choice is the use of drum brakes on the rear axle. Audi justifies this by noting that electric vehicles perform the majority of braking via motor recuperation. Drum brakes are less prone to corrosion and "stalling" from lack of use in an EV environment compared to discs.
