Gearbox Type: Single Speed Reduction Gear (Electric Drive)
Because the wheels are driven exclusively by electric motors, the X-Trail does not have a traditional multi-speed gearbox. Instead, it uses a single-speed reduction gear that provides the linear, "instant-torque" feel of a battery-electric vehicle. The e-4ORCE variant features an advanced All-Wheel Drive system with dual motors (one on each axle). This system adjusts power distribution 10,000 times per second for maximum grip. It also features Nissan's "e-Pedal Step," allowing the driver to accelerate and decelerate using only the accelerator pedal.
