Suspension: Independent Multi-Link Rear
To handle the additional weight of the hybrid system and provide a premium ride, the X-Trail uses an Independent MacPherson Strut front suspension and an Independent Multi-Link rear setup. Braking is purely electronic via the "Electrically Driven Intelligent Brake" system, utilizing Ventilated Discs on all four wheels. Standard wheel sizes range from 18-inch alloys on the ST-L to 20-inch diamond-cut alloys on the flagship Ti-L trims, usually paired with 235/55 R19 or R20 tyres.
