The Mahindra XEV 9e utilizes Blade cell technology (LFP) sourced from BYD. It is offered in two battery sizes: a 59 kWh unit for the entry trims and a 79 kWh unit for the long-range variants. The 79 kWh version offers a certified MIDC range of 656 km and a real-world range estimated around 480-500 km.

Equipped with a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor, the XEV 9e delivers instantaneous power. The 59 kWh battery variant produces approximately 228 bhp, while the 79 kWh flagship variant pushes out 286 bhp. This high-efficiency motor integrates the inverter and transmission into a single compact housing.

The torque output remains consistent at 380 Nm across both battery configurations. This peak torque is available from 0 RPM, providing the vehicle with aggressive off-the-line acceleration. A dedicated "Boost Mode" allows for a 10-second surge of maximum performance for overtaking.

In its top-spec 79 kWh configuration, the XEV 9e can sprint from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds. This performance is supported by the RWD layout which provides better traction during hard launches. The base 59 kWh variant is slightly slower, clocking in at approximately 7.5 seconds.

Top Speed: 202 km/h

Unlike many mass-market EVs that are limited to 150-160 km/h, the XEV 9e features a high-speed calibration that allows it to reach a top speed of 202 km/h. This makes it one of the fastest Indian-made electric vehicles currently available.
