The Aion Y utilizes a McPherson Independent Suspension at the front for precise steering and a Torsion-beam semi-independent suspension at the rear. This setup is tuned for comfort, effectively soaking up road vibrations while maintaining the structural integrity needed for a heavy battery-powered vehicle.
Brake Type: Disc (Front and Rear)
Unlike many entry-level EVs that use drum brakes at the rear, the Aion Y features disc brakes on all four wheels. The front discs are ventilated to help with heat dissipation during heavy braking. The system is further enhanced by an "iPedal" electronic pedal system that provides strong regenerative braking levels.
