The Aion V uses a high-reduction Single Speed Transmission optimized for quiet operation and minimal energy loss. Shifting is executed via an electronic rotary dial or column shifter (depending on the specific market version), providing a seamless transition between Drive, Reverse, and Park without the mechanical complexity of traditional gears.
Drive Type: Front-Wheel Drive (FWD)
The Aion V utilizes a Front-Wheel Drive layout, which is standard for GAC’s dedicated EV platforms. This configuration allows for a completely flat interior floor and maximizes the space available for the "Intelligent Cabin" features. It provides predictable handling and excellent energy recovery through regenerative braking on the front axle.
