Safety is managed by a Dual Channel Bosch 9 Plus ABS system. It includes Rear-wheel Lift-up Mitigation (RLM), which prevents the rear wheel from losing contact with the ground during the high-force braking maneuvers often required by the Rivale's aggressive Brembo braking system.

The Rivale features four selectable engine maps. The "Custom" mode allows riders to independently adjust parameters such as engine response, rev limiter, engine torque response, engine braking, and the 8-level traction control system to suit their specific riding style.
