Clutch Type: Slipper and Self-servo Wet Multiplate
The hydraulically controlled slipper clutch prevents the rear wheel from locking up or hopping during aggressive downshifts. The self-servo mechanism also reduces the lever effort, making it comfortable for city riding where stop-and-go traffic is common.
Final Drive: Chain
The Monster uses a 520 pitch chain for its final drive. The gearing (16T front/43T rear) is optimized for street performance, providing explosive acceleration off the line.
