The Hero Super Splendor features a more powerful 124.7 cc air-cooled, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine. It is a significant step up from the 100cc class, offering better refinement and highway capability. Like its smaller sibling, it includes i3S (Idle Stop-Start System) and Programmed Fuel Injection (FI) to maximize efficiency in Nepal's heavy city traffic.
Power & Torque: 10.8 PS / 10.6 Nm
This engine delivers a peak power of 10.8 PS at 7,500 rpm and 10.6 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The extra torque makes it much easier to carry a pillion on the steep inclines found in hilly regions like Kavre or around the Kathmandu valley.
Gearbox: 5-speed
Unlike the 4-speed Splendor Plus, the Super Splendor is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox. The additional 5th gear acts as an overdrive, allowing the engine to stay relaxed at higher speeds (60–80 kmph), which reduces vibrations and improves fuel economy during long-distance rides.
