In the Nepalese context, through authorized channels, the oil service (Oil Service) is required every 12,000 km or 12 months. The major Desmo Service (valve clearance check) is scheduled every 24,000 km, which is impressively long for a high-strung racing engine.
Proprietary Tech: Desmodromic Variable Timing & VVA
While the V4 doesn't use VVA like smaller Yamahas, its Desmodromic system is its crowning proprietary tech. Additionally, it features Rear Cylinder Deactivation, which shuts off the rear cylinder bank at idle to reduce heat felt by the rider—a lifesaver in traffic.
