Motor Type: Permanent Magnet Synchronous (FWD)
The Punch.ev utilizes a new generation 6-in-1 integrated drive unit that combines the motor, inverter, and transmission into a single compact housing. This design is 28% lighter and 6% more efficient than previous generations, allowing for better energy management and liberated cabin space.
Max Power: 122 PS (Long Range) / 82 PS (Medium Range)
The Long Range (LR) variant produces 122 PS, making it noticeably punchier than its petrol sibling. The Medium Range (MR) variant offers 82 PS, which is perfectly calibrated for city commuting and maximizing efficiency.
Max Torque: 190 Nm (LR) / 114 Nm (MR)
With 190 Nm of instant torque in the Long Range version, the Punch.ev can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 9.5 seconds. The torque is delivered linearly, ensuring there's no "wheel spin" typical of high-torque FWD electric cars.
Battery Capacity: 35 kWh (Long Range) / 25 kWh (Medium Range)
Tata offers two liquid-cooled, IP67-rated LFP battery packs. These batteries support 1.5C fast charging, allowing the Long Range variant to juice up from 10% to 80% in just 56 minutes using a 50 kW DC fast charger.
Range: 421 km (MIDC) / ~300 km (Real World)
The 35 kWh battery provides a certified range of 421 km. Under real-world Indian conditions, drivers can expect a consistent 300 km on the Long Range and roughly 200 km on the Medium Range variant.
