Gearbox: 3rd-Gen XTRONIC CVT
The X-Trail uses Nissan's latest XTRONIC CVT with D-Step Logic Control. This software simulates traditional gear shifts to eliminate the "rubber-band" feel typical of older CVTs. It also features Paddle Shifters for manual control and three drive modes: Eco, Standard, and Sport.
Drive Type: Front Wheel Drive (FWD)
The India-spec model is currently available exclusively in a Front-Wheel Drive configuration. While global markets offer 'e-4ORCE' AWD, the Indian variant focuses on urban premiumness and weight reduction to maximize fuel efficiency in local traffic conditions.
