Equipped with BYD's proprietary Blade Battery technology, the eMax 7 offers two energy densities. The Superior trim utilizes a 71.8 kWh unit, while the Premium trim features a 55.4 kWh pack. Both utilize LFP chemistry, which is significantly more resilient to thermal runaway during high-speed charging or extreme Indian summers.
Range (NEDC): 420 km to 530 km
The vehicle provides a certified range of 420 km for the smaller battery and 530 km for the larger 71.8 kWh variant. Real-world highway range is expected to be approximately 350–400 km, making it one of the most efficient long-distance electric MPVs in its price bracket.
Motor Output: 161 bhp to 201 bhp | 310 Nm
The front-axle mounted Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor delivers a constant 310 Nm of torque. The power output is software-tuned to 120 kW (161 bhp) for the Premium trim and 150 kW (201 bhp) for the Superior trim, allowing the latter to hit 0–100 km/h in 8.6 seconds.
