Gearbox Type: 6MT / 7DCT / 6AT (Torque Converter)
Tata offers a wide range of transmissions. The NA Petrol gets a 7-speed DCA (Dual Clutch), while the Turbo Petrol is exclusively paired with an Aisin-sourced 6-speed Torque Converter. The Diesel is available with both a 6-speed Manual and a 6-speed Automatic.

The Sierra is currently launched as a Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) SUV. However, it features dedicated Terrain Response Modes (Normal, Wet, Rough) that optimize traction control for mild off-road trails.
Clutch Type: Wet Clutch (DCT) / Dry Clutch (Manual)
The 7-speed DCA uses a Wet Clutch system, which is specifically designed for Indian stop-and-go traffic to prevent overheating. The Manual variants utilize a standard dry single-plate friction clutch with hydraulic actuation.
