The 2026 EQS SUV is powered by dual Permanently Excited Synchronous Motors (PSM). The EQS 580 4MATIC delivers 536–544 hp and 858 Nm of torque. For ultimate opulence, the Maybach EQS 680 pushes output to 649–658 hp and a massive 950–955 Nm of torque. The fully variable 4MATIC system ensures torque is shifted between axles thousands of times per second for maximum grip.

Despite its size, the EQS SUV is remarkably quick. The EQS 580 reaches 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds, while the Maybach EQS 680 variant drops that time to 4.4 seconds. Both are electronically limited to a top speed of 210 km/h to preserve efficiency. It features a dedicated OFFROAD mode that raises the suspension and optimizes torque for loose terrain.
