The MG Windsor EV is powered by a high-efficiency Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor that delivers a peak power of 136 PS and a maximum torque of 200 Nm. This electric powertrain provides a seamless and punchy driving experience, making it ideal for both city commutes and highway cruising. The vehicle offers two battery options—a 38 kWh pack and a larger 52.9 kWh pack—ensuring customers can choose based on their range requirements. With the top-tier battery, the Windsor EV achieves an impressive ARAI-certified range of up to 449 km, allowing for long-distance travel with minimal charging anxiety.
The charging infrastructure for the Windsor EV is designed for convenience, supporting both AC and DC fast charging. Using a 60kW DC fast charger, the battery can be juiced up from 0 to 80% in just about 55 minutes, significantly reducing downtime. MG also introduces a unique Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model in India, which lowers the initial acquisition cost by allowing users to pay for the battery based on usage. This innovative approach, combined with multiple driving modes—Eco+, Eco, Normal, and Sport—ensures that the Windsor EV is one of the most versatile and technologically advanced electric vehicles in the Indian market today.
