Gearbox Type: 8-Speed Tiptronic (Automatic)
Power is managed by a faster-shifting 8-speed Tiptronic transmission. For the Performance model, the shift times have been reduced, and the software has been recalibrated to keep the engine in its optimal power band longer when in RS-specific driving modes.
Drive Type: Quattro with Sport Rear Differential
The standard Quattro system is enhanced by the RS-tuned sport rear differential, which actively distributes torque between the rear wheels. This is paired with Electromechanical Active Roll Stabilization (eAWS) and All-Wheel Steering to ensure this 2.3-tonne SUV handles like a much smaller vehicle.
