The Spectre utilizes a single-speed transmission. There are no gear shifts, no "steps," and no interruption in power. This is the ultimate realization of the Rolls-Royce goal of seamless progress. The drivetrain is tuned to provide a "one-pedal driving" experience if desired, where regenerative braking handles most deceleration duties.
Drive Type: All-Wheel Drive (AWD)
The dual-motor setup provides permanent all-wheel drive. The system can vary the torque between the front and rear wheels in milliseconds. This is paired with all-wheel steering, which allows the nearly 5.5-meter car to have a turning circle smaller than a standard executive sedan.
