Gearbox Type: Single Speed Automatic
Like most modern EVs, the J6 uses a high-reduction single-speed transmission. This eliminates the need for gear shifts, providing a seamless and linear power delivery. The system is operated via an electronic rotary dial or column shifter depending on the regional trim.
Drive Type: RWD / AWD (i-WD)
The J6 is built on an all-electric platform. The base variant is Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD), which offers better efficiency. The 4WD variant features Jaecoo’s intelligent 4WD system (i-WD), which can distribute torque between front and rear axles in milliseconds to handle sand, mud, and snow.
